The Shack

OK, not sure if anyone actually reads my scrappy place blog, but if you do....I'm suggesting that you also read the book The Shack. I just finished it and found it very thought provoking. It's a fast and easy read, but trust me when I say you'll want to take your time and digest the story as you go. I'm not Oprah or anything, but this one is definitely on my summer pick list!

Between unpacking, training for a new position at the Orange box, and trying to keep up with my 2 year old, I haven't done any scrapbooking! Ugh! Of course that's the last bit of boxes I have to unpack....my fun stuff comes last it seems, but I can feel it calling my name. So, very soon I'll be getting back into the swing of things and getting more layouts posted. Maybe I'll even update my sad little blog corner and add some fun and exciting details like a slideshow or some tunes! Novel idea, I know :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I hope to be back "online" soon [my computer is out of commission right now, so I have to borrow my husbands work computer :( Bummer]

Finally! Here they are!

After weeks of moving (we're still unpacking), I was finally able to get all the right pieces of my computer set up so that I could download and upload these pictures. So sorry it took so long!! These are the last two layouts I did for the Little Tykes class at Treasured Memories Too! This artist LO is my favorite...I think it's because of the fun primary colors on the kraft background that catches the eye! Or it could be because I love these pictures of my daughter coloring. [she's using those magic markers that only appear on the magic paper -- less mess on mommy's couch!] I still have one kit of the bouncy ball layout, so if you know anyone that wants it let me know! You get the entire sticker pack with the LO, so the title can be anything you want!
the circle and number borders were created using the Silhouette digital cutting machine from Quickutz! The title letters "artists" is a quickutz font called rainbow, and the title "ARTIST" is a quickutz font called strawberry....the little green arrow is also a quickutz die....can you tell I'm a fan!

2nd layout in the kit

Parker loves the big purple bouncy ball and it only seemed fitting to use the fun penny lane circle patterned paper for the layout.

circle border at the bottom was cut with the silhouette! love that machine!
